The JPE is accepting volunteers to serve as editorial assistants (EA), editorial advisory board (EAB) members, and associate editors (AE) on an ongoing basis. Please see the JPE Mission Statement and information about the FTCOR process to see if you would like to be an editorial assistant, an editorial advisory board member, or an associate editor

Terms of Service: As an EA, EAB, or AE for the JPE you are welcome to determine how many manuscripts you would like to vet, review, or manage per year, and for how many years you would like to commit to the JPE as an EA, EAB, or AE. You would also agree to serve in accordance with the JPE’s core values, and the FTCOR guide, timeline, and rules of engagement.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN EDITORIAL ASSISTANT:

Qualifications: In order to be an EA, you must be a graduate student in an accredited graduate degree program (MA or minimally equivalent US/international degree), have research interests in the field of emotion, and you must be a member of the Society for Philosophy of Emotion.

  1. To participate in the FTCOR process as an editorial assistant.

Steps for Signing-Up as an AE: To serve as an AE for the JPE, please complete the Editorial Assistant Good Faith Agreement (EAGFA) between you (the Editorial Assistant) and the JPE. Once we receive your EAGFA and verified your qualifications, you will be established as an associate editor for the JPE. Your name will also be added as an official editorial assistant on the JPE website.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN EDITORIAL ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER:

Qualifications: In order to be an EAB member, you must be a professional academic with a United States PhD or a minimally equivalent US/international degree.

  1. To participate in the FTCOR process as a reviewer.
  2. To advise the editor-in-chief regarding various steering decisions, especially pertaining to the reviewer role of the FTCOR process.

Steps for Signing-Up as an EAB Member: To serve as an EAB member for the JPE, please complete the Editorial Advisory Board Good Faith Agreement (EABGFA) between you (the Editorial Advisory Board Member) and the JPE. Once we receive your EABGFA and verified your qualifications, you will be established as an official member of the JPE’s editorial advisory board. Your name will also be added as an official EAB member on the JPE website.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN ASSOCIATE EDITOR:

Qualifications: In order to be an EAB member, you must be a professional academic with a United States PhD or a minimally equivalent US/international degree.

  1. To participate in the FTCOR process as an associate editor.
  2. To advise the editor-in-chief regarding various steering decisions, especially pertaining to the associate editor role of the FTCOR process.
  3. To provide comments, suggestions, edits on each issue prior to publication.

Steps for Signing-Up as an AE: To serve as an AE for the JPE, please complete the Associate Editor’s Good Faith Agreement (AEGFA) between you (the Associate Editor) and the JPE. Once we receive your AEGFA and verified your qualifications, you will be established as an associate editor for the JPE. Your name will  also be added as an official associate editor on the JPE website.
